ROLE: International Business Development Manager

Role Description:

Legendary Foods is looking for an eager and dynamic individual to join our expanding team as an International Business Development Manager. This position is critical for driving sales growth, developing our sales strategy, and building a strong pipeline for our protein powder and FMCG products.

Legendary Foods, a rapidly growing food-tech firm based in Ghana, is committed to developing affordable, healthy, and sustainable alternatives to animal protein using advanced insect agriculture. As the foreign Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for increasing foreign sales, creating important relationships, and developing a solid pipeline for Legendary Foods.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage key sales accounts.
  • Prospect and identify potential clients to effectively promote Legendary Foods goods.
  • Provide customized sales proposals, including product details, pricing, and terms of agreement.
  • Negotiate contracts to ensure mutual satisfaction and compliance.
  • Secure sales contracts and purchase orders for the company.
  • Work with the CEO to develop, implement, monitor, and adjust the sales plan.
  • Set volume and revenue targets to increase profitability.
  • Manage and enforce payment terms.
  • Building Pipeline and Demand Forecasting:
  • Prospect new markets, sectors, and customers through both B2C and B2B channels.
  • Create new sales channels and distribution methods for domestic and international markets.
  • Convert prospective clients into purchase orders as the organization expands production capacity.
  • Build a professional network with possible clients, customers, and business opportunities.
  • Make strategic recommendations to estimate demand and improve the company’s pipeline.

Requisite Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience selling FMCG and ingredients.
  • Proven experience managing partnerships with food and beverage corporations, retail chains, and distributors.
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus, retention, and market research ability.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Capable of adapting and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Results-driven and willing to travel.
  • High level of integrity.
