POSITION: Credit Manager
Job Description.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has an interesting opportunity for an experienced credit manager. This is a specialist and manager post with direct responsibility for managing an in-country credit team and extensive interaction with leadership at all levels across the country.
A Credit Manager must be knowledgeable about credit risk management, customer credit assessments, collection methods, and audit-related operations. This function is critical for enabling a well-informed and competent approach to credit portfolio management, monitoring credit risks, and maintaining effective credit controls and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Moreover, CCBA is Africa’s largest Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of total Coca-Cola volumes. CCBA has a large presence in Africa, employing over 17,000 people and serving a population of over 300 million people across the continent.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Receivable.
- Process debtor batches into SAP.
- Process debtor payments within the company’s deadline.
- Prepare and distribute statements to account clients.
- Reconcile accounts according to supplier standards.
- 100% compliance with debtor-related financial regulations and procedures is maintained.
- 100% accuracy in processing all accounts receivable batches is maintained.
- Accounts are reconciled according to company standards and policies.
- Sent updated statements to account customers within agreed-upon times.
- Updated information is accessible within one hour of the request.
- Non-national accounts are 30 days, while national accounts are 32 days.
Credit Control
- Process all new account applications.
- Keep the organization updated on new credit management methods and approaches.
- Liaise with the sales staff about outstanding accounts and future orders.
- Approve All new accounts are credit-worthy, and credit applications
- Trade references and bank codes are obtained within three days of receiving the new account.
- All account information on application forms is verified, including numbers, addresses, and signatures.
- Customers receive account confirmation, and approved new account files are opened within two days of their application.
Credit Refunds and Cost Controls
- Monitor RD cheques.
- Control credit refunds.
- Maintain cost controls and monitor RD cheques under corporate policies and procedures.
- Payments for all credit refunds are processed regularly.
- We maintain 100% accuracy in processing all credit refund batches.
- Maintain adherence to spending budgets.
Maintain Creditor Reporting.
- Compile and send an age analysis report every month.
- All data is completely accurate and valid.
- Reports are prepared within agreed-upon times and formats.
General Administration and Financial Support
- Collection and delivery of mail.
- Maintain the creditor filing system and document flow.
- Resolve consumer inquiries.
- On request, I provided creditors with help and guidance.
- All incoming mail is gathered daily per mail register.
- All outgoing mail is posted daily and logged per register.
- An accurate and effective filing system and document flow is maintained regularly.
- All client inquiries were followed up within 24 hours of receipt.
- The 85% CSI grade for advising and information sharing is maintained.
- All advice is completely compliant with business policies and procedures.
- All requests for advice/information are responded to within 48 hours, or within the timeframe agreed upon with the customer.
Maintenance of Quality Control
- Maintain compliance with the TCCQS System.
- 100% compliance with internal and external audits was maintained.
- Also, Maintain current work instructions and procedures. Identify, report, and address deviations within agreed-upon timelines or as they occur.

Qualifications & Experience
- The minimum prerequisite is a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, or BCOM/CPA(K), CCP(K)/ACCA equivalent.
Experience
- Three years of accounting experience.
- Qualifications: Accounting and SAP experience.
