Job Overview
Revna Biosciences is looking for a dynamic professional to fill the position of Data Manager. The chosen candidate will work on-site at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as part of the ACESO project.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and build database tables for the ACESO study.
- Responsible for the development of data management plans and other data management documentation as needed.
- Assist with CRF design, evaluation, and validation of clinical database(s).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data management in the ACESO research study.
- Day-to-day operation of the RedCap database
- Ensure that Research Assistants (RAs) use the correct data entry program while entering study data.
- Ensure that enough backups of the data exist on external devices and servers and are available in the event of problems;
- Prepare database reports: weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual.
- Extract data and convert it into the format requested by the PI and ACESO sponsors.
- Troubleshoot and address issues that may arise during data entry and assist with query resolution.
- Contribute to process improvement, quality assurance, and quality control, working with data management leadership as appropriate.
- Any other duties are relevant to the function.
Required Skill or Experience
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in biological sciences, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of research data management experience.
- Functional and Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Understanding of GCPs and regulatory requirements for clinical data management paperwork and software.
- Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and REDCap study management is an added benefit.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding dictionaries
