ActionAid Ghana (AAG), a branch of ActionAid, seeks to hire a qualified and self-driven candidate for the role of Programme Manager.

• Position: Programme Manager
• Salary: This position falls under SM4 of ActionAid Ghana’s Compensation Framework.
• Location: Tamale (Northern Region).

Position Summary: 

As the Programme Manager for the Northern Regional Programme, you will be tasked with ensuring that a systematic and consistent standards-based approach to programme implementation links local rights violations to nationally and internationally acknowledged human rights. You will additionally link efforts on various strategic priorities/focus areas with grassroots programs, advocacy, and fundraising activities. Moreover, you will assist partner organizations and oversee personnel along with regional resources to guarantee optimal value, advantages, and influence of AAG’s initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and outlining the scope of the program, along with its specific projects.
• Creating comprehensive project plans and monitoring advancement.
• Managing internal resources and external partners for the seamless implementation of projects.
• Overseeing and alleviating risks to guarantee timely, on-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
• Building and nurturing connections with stakeholders
• Producing and upholding thorough project records
• Updating program status and raising concerns to senior management as necessary.
• Making certain that every project is completed on schedule, within defined scope, and budget limits.
• Creating a comprehensive program strategy to observe and assess advancement.
• Overseeing adjustments to the project scope, project timeline, and project expenses, utilizing suitable verification methods.
• Implementing risk management to reduce project risks.
• Managing the interdependencies among various projects within the program

Educational Background & Experience:

• Master’s Degree with at least five (5) years of applicable experience.

Employment Conditions: This is a three (3) year renewable contract of employment based on national terms and conditions.
