POSITION: Junior Accountant
FarmWallet Limited is a blockchain-based solution provider that solves the issue of weak links in the agricultural value chain. Our technology facilitates transactions between multiple layers of the agricultural value chain, allowing farmers to sell their crops, place orders, and pay for supplies and automated services. FarmWallet facilitates transactions and connects parties in the agri-value chain, allowing farmers to access inputs, information, and markets.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a junior accountant in Tamale. The Junior Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions, keep financial records, prepare financial reports, and help with budgeting and forecasting. They will also help the senior accounting team analyze financial data and ensure compliance with financial legislation and policies.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and processes.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel, with a focus on detail and accuracy in financial records.
- Capable of handling confidential financial information and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is beneficial.
- Experience in the agriculture or agribusiness industry is beneficial.
