Job Title: Legal Officer
About the Job
The Legal Officer is in charge of giving legal advice to all of the company’s areas and, when needed, taking care of company secretarial tasks. The person in this job is also in charge of giving advice on all operational agreements and making sure that things that are in court are handled well.
Responsibilities
- Give business and commercial law advice to help the company run.
- Do a thorough review of different real estate papers, such as ground leases and title deeds, as part of your due diligence.
- As needed, write leases and letters and do other administrative work for the law department.
- To keep track of schedules, update the project tracking database with the current project state. Talk to people in the legal department and other internal customers to make sure jobs are finished on time.
- Write letters for the regulatory bodies.
- Perform company secretarial tasks.
- Work with outside lawyers to handle the litigation process.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in law, at least two to four years at the Ghana Bar, and if available, UK/US Bar Qualification.
- A one- to two-year post-call course and experience working abroad will be a plus.
- 1–2 years after the Call course is a plus.
