The Mastercard Foundation was founded in 2006 as a result of Mastercard’s generosity after becoming a public business. The Foundation operates independently, with its own Board of Directors and CEO.

WORK AT THE FOUNDATION

We are now in an exciting era at the Mastercard Foundation as we ramp up the implementation of the Young Africa Works plan, which aims to enable 30 million young people across Africa to find dignified and fulfilling work.

The Foundation has offices in Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda to better serve partners and program participants. Young Africa Works receives significant in-country support from these offices. We work with governments, the private sector, educators, and other funders to improve education and vocational training, prepare young people for the workforce, increase access to financial services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and match jobseekers with meaningful employment.

Our ideals serve as guiding principles, transcending and outweighing all other factors. We sincerely urge you to apply your innovative ideas, curiosity, and knowledge to your job.
