New Job Announcement at Luminos Fund
POSITION: Program Analyst
The Luminos Fund, an international nonprofit that provides education opportunities to the world’s most disenfranchised children, is seeking a Program Analyst to help enhance the effect of its foundational learning programs across many geographies.
This is a full-time, one-year position based in Accra, but we will also consider individuals from London who are fluent in at least one of the government-sponsored Ghanaian languages. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the education sector and be enthusiastic about addressing the global learning challenge. Candidates should also have a proactive work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to learn. The Program Analyst will report to the Director of Teaching and Learning and work closely with other team members across the company. The position will most likely need some travel to tough environments in Africa and the Middle East.
About the Luminos Fund.
The Luminos Fund offers revolutionary educational programs to thousands of out-of-school children, assisting them in catching up to grade level, reintegrating into government schools, and preparing for lifetime learning. Luminos is expanding its accelerated learning program in collaboration with community-based groups to ensure that all children have equitable access to joyful, foundational learning, particularly those who have been excluded from education due to crises, poverty, or discrimination. To present, Luminos has provided over 277,787 children with a second chance to learn. Luminos, a recognized 501(c)(3) organization in the United States, operates in Ethiopia, Ghana, Lebanon, Liberia, and The Gambia.
Moreover, Luminos receives funding from several sources, including Cartier Philanthropy, Dubai Cares, Legatum, and the UBS Optimus Foundation. Luminos has received international recognition for its achievements, including the 2022 Klaus J. Jacobs Best Practice Prize, the Library of Congress International Literacy Award, the Lipman Family Prize, the WISE Award, and the HundrED Global Innovation Award.
