We are searching for a competent Engine Workshop Technician – Level II to join our service-focused Shop Department in Accra, Ghana.

- Expert Diagnostics and Repairs: Your ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products ensures that engines work smoothly and efficiently, reducing downtime for customers.

- Engine Overhaul: Your ability to disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble engines and components helps engines last longer and operate better.

- Team Support: Assisting more experienced technicians with diagnosis and repair plans promotes collaboration and increases the team’s overall skill level.
- Accurate Documentation: Completing essential documentation correctly guarantees that all work is monitored, warranties are honoured, and quality requirements are met, which helps the workshop’s reputation.

Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, you will require the following:
- Strong Diagnostic Skills: The ability to translate client complaints into efficient troubleshooting methods, utilizing mechanical and electrical service tools, as well as diagnostic software, to accurately isolate and resolve faults.
- A comprehensive understanding of engine systems includes knowledge of how internal and external electrical and mechanical systems interact, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair these systems efficiently using tools and service manuals.
- Proficient in Product Repair and Maintenance: Skills include repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical equipment, according to requirements to assure quality repairs, and performing inspections and replacements to reduce costs and restore products to their pre-failure state.
- Effective Technical Escalation: The capacity to collect and apply technical issue information, escalate complicated problems appropriately, and document all troubleshooting actions to ensure correct and fast resolution of client issues.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from a competent technical institution.
- Knowledge of Cummins engines would be advantageous.
- Locally valid driving permit
- Intermediate-level knowledge and/or experience with engine products.
- This role may require a license to comply with export controls or sanctions legislation.
