POSITION: Site Engineer
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
The Site Engineer (S.E) will oversee the fieldwork related to QC project activities. S/He will oversee the projects following the utmost professional standards and ensuring compliance with Qatar Charity’s procedures and regulations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversight of onsite activities in line with contractual documents, plans, technical specifications, etc.; ensuring proper execution of work based on contract, design, material quality, and craftsmanship.
- Making certain that health and safety protocols are implemented and adequately followed.
- Examine and confirm the scope of work completed and submit a report to the Engineer.
- Notifying the Engineer of any issues that may occur with the Contractor.
- Evaluate and analyze the valuations of payments sought by contractors and monitor the progress of contractor payments according to the QC system.
- Execute and sustain comprehensive oversight regarding actual and work advancement relative to the schedule, deliver information and technical periodic reports to the project officer following QC systems and procedures.
- Establish and uphold an effective archiving and document management system for all documentation related to projects.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in Engineering, construction disciplines, or another relevant area, accompanied by significant post-qualification experience (at least 2 years in the related sector).
- Arabic language proficiency will be regarded as an advantage, though it is not required.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Experience in adopting a flexible strategy for managing and prioritizing a heavy workload and numerous tasks in a fast-moving environment with strict deadlines.
- Proven experience in collaborating with a team.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Legitimate driver’s permit.
- A grasp of and dedication to QC’s objectives and principles.
