Job Description
MSI Ghana is looking for passionate, organized, client-oriented, and dynamic individuals with the following qualifications and experience in Accra. MSI Ghana’s mission is to address the needs of the underprivileged and increase access to Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.

Contract length: Permanent, full-time.
The Centre Receptionist will assist in providing Client-Centered clinical services in the assigned Centre of Excellence. The job holder will be in charge of monitoring monthly client numbers and income generated, managing the front desk at the Centre, assisting with all administrative and financial responsibilities (record keeping and petty cash management), stock management, and maintaining Centre records in the approved formats. She/he will also ensure that formal discussions with various health partners are correctly documented and that all customer complaints about MSIG services are documented and recommendations made.
The position will be based in Takoradi. The roles and responsibilities listed below may change as the Centre’s activities evolve and expand over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership and network building.
- Encourage dedication to meeting clients’ particular needs, such as flexible working hours and tight privacy and secrecy, to increase demand for MSIG services.
- Perform public relations and promotional activities with coworkers, GHS, and the public.
- Compile and submit Centre reports to the Centre Manager on time.
- Monitor monthly client numbers and income generated, and collaborate with center teams to make necessary recommendations to fulfill income-to-cost targets.
Receptionist Roles:
- Manage the Centre’s front desk to create and maintain a welcome, courteous, professional, and efficient environment for all clients, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
- Assist with counselling on fundamental MSIG Clinical services at the center.
- Receive and bank all service income in the center daily.
- Assist with all administrative and financial obligations at the center, including record keeping and petty cash management.
- Professionally monitor and document client complaints at the center.
- Effective inventory and supply management.
- Keep records in the center using the approved forms to ensure clean medical records and registers.
- Ensure that the Centre and its surroundings are always kept tidy, neat, and clean
- Make effective use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery and training.
- Assist the M/E officer in gathering client statistics and clinical data for analysis.
- Perform any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Manager.
Communications and Administration
- Ensure that all formal communications with various health partners are appropriately documented.
- Follow up on all client complaints about any of the MSIG services and provide recommendations.
Required Skill or Experience
To be successful in this role, you need:
- Requirements: GCE Ordinary level/SSCE certificate or higher, and Stenographer Grade 1 qualification from a recognized institution.
- HND will provide an advantage.
- Basic Certificate in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- At least two years of post-graduation experience in a similar capacity.
- Requirements for this position include clinical experience and strong interpersonal skills with clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Outstanding computer abilities (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Work experience with the Ghana Health Service and/or an INGO will be beneficial.
- Articulate and analytical, with attention to detail.
- Compassionate towards women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services.
- Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with individuals at all levels—government, donor, and community.
- Passionate about maternal health.
- Encourages team members to provide high-quality service and results.
