A company in Accra that deals with real estate and mortgages is looking for a Business Development and Corporate Affairs Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- The manager of business growth and corporate affairs.
- Links between the company and the people who have a stake in it.
- Make a list of the most important people involved.
- Keep good relationships with your most important partners.
- Oversee office management tasks and projects from start to finish, making sure the office runs smoothly and stays within its budget.
- Look for new ways to get money and start talking with possible partners.
- Look for opportunities in the green space and tell the company how to take advantage of the best.
- Help the Deputy GM’s office and act as the GM’s Chief of Staff at the same time.
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planned and coordinate all aspects of the company’s corporate affairs and office management. This includes, but is not limited to, making office activities happen, managing interns, building systems, developing the national database, markets development activities like managing partnerships, getting green building certifications for the company’s portfolio projects, and working with participating financial institutions, MMDAs, green certification, and financing agencies.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Among the responsibilities for business development are the following:
- Working with the IT service providers, leading the development of the company’s website and national database from start to finish.
- Keeping an eye out for new opportunities and starting conversations about them; designing roadmaps to help the DGM and GM’s office understand the best way to move forward.
- Making high-level presentations, technical reports, policy documents, and strategy documents that include action plans and roadmaps.
- Taking charge of getting all of the company’s projects certified as green or EDGE.
- Building a database of information about green funding opportunities and building and keeping relationships with key donor and partner organizations that have the right contact offices.
- Doing high-level stakeholder engagement activities in different parts of the country to help the company reach its goals.
- Setting up and running Ghana’s first national mortgage conference.
- Helping with risk management by bringing up concerns and objections about the company’s strategy, goals, scope, deliverables, work plan, and direction as needed.
- Talk to board members, senior civil servants, and policymakers about strategic documents, project plans, action plans, and achievements, and give them updates on these things.
BUSINESS MATTER
Among the corporate affairs responsibilities are the following:
- Helping the office of the General and Deputy General Manager plan and carry out the priorities listed in the company’s strategy document.
- Keep track of KPIs and make sure they are done as described in the KPI document.
- General office management, including overseeing facilities management, maintenance services, event management, setting up recycling, and making sure office renovations are done on time and on budget.
- Be in charge of the administrative assistants and keep an eye on the company’s housekeepers.
- Set up meetings for management and make sure that administrative assistants record clear, active, and specific agreements about decisions at the end of the meetings. Share the minutes and plans for action with the Management team as soon as possible. Serve as M&E to make sure actions and points are carried out.
- Secretariat: Run the secretariat well and be the main point of contact for project sponsors and other stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization (in person and virtually). This includes management of both internal and external communication.
- Working Missions/Visits: Make sure that all company missions are organized by the administrative assistants who work for you.
