POSITION: Revenue Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Manages the transient room inventory for the hotel(s) and is accountable for maximizing transient income. The Revenue Manager returns group rooms to general inventory and establishes clear booking periods for clients. The role advises on the pricing and positioning of cluster properties. Furthermore, the role supervises the inventory management system to confirm the suitability of established selling strategies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

  • A two-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a similar field; three years of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or a related professional domain.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a similar field from an accredited university; 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or a related field.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Examining and Presenting Revenue Management Information 

  • Gathers data, examines and tracks real sales in comparison to estimated sales.
  • Recognizes the fundamental principles, reasons, or facts of information by deconstructing information or data into distinct components.
  • Assesses data and reviews outcomes to select the optimal solution and address issues.
  • Utilizing computers and computer systems (comprising hardware and software) to code, develop software, configure functions, input data, or handle information.
  • Produces and delivers precise and prompt outcomes in the format of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Performs analysis of sales strategies and makes adjustments as necessary to enhance market share for all properties.
  • Keeps precise information in the reservation system.
  • Examines end-of-period and other accessible systems data to determine patterns, upcoming demand periods, and barriers to reaching objectives.
  • Produces updates on the transient segment every period.
  • Aids in the account diagnostics procedure and verifies findings.

Implementing Revenue Management Initiatives and Strategy 

  • Enhances market understanding and adjusts strategies and methods accordingly.
  • Attains and surpasses objectives such as performance targets, budget objectives, team goals, etc.
  • Participates in meetings to strategize, arrange, prioritize, organize, and oversee activities and solutions.
  • Sets long-term goals and outlines the strategies and steps to attain them.
  • Utilizes a set strategy and oversees the implementation of that strategy.
  • Shows understanding of job-related matters, products, systems, and procedures.
  • Comprehends and addresses the requirements of important stakeholders (owners, corporate, guests, etc.).
  • Examines chances that enhance profit, provide value for customers, and foster innovation; questions current processes/systems/products to implement enhancements.
  • Delivers revenue management functional knowledge to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
  • Guarantees that hotel strategies align with brand principles and goals.
  • Ensures that sales strategies and rate limitations are conveyed, executed, and adjusted as market conditions change.
  • Develops agenda and supporting materials for sales strategy meeting.
  • Engages proactively with properties about rate limits and tactics.
  • Oversees room inventory to optimize revenue for cluster accommodations.
  • Oversees initiatives to harmonize strategies among group sales offices.
  • Aids cluster selling efforts by collaborating with all reservation centers.
  • Utilizes reservation systems and demand prediction tools to identify, execute, and manage sales strategies.
  • Verifies distribution channels for hotel placement, information precision, and rival positioning.
  • Guarantees that property diagnostic processes (PDP) are utilized to optimize revenue and profits.
  • Starts, executes, and assesses revenue examinations.
  • Suggests ways to enhance the efficiency of revenue management procedures.
  • Shares brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis with hotels/clusters/franchise partners/owners.
  • Recognizes and conveys the significance of the brand name in connection with franchise collaborations and revenue management prospects.
  • Supports and safeguards brand value.

Establishing Effective Connections 

  • Cultivates and oversees relationships with internal key stakeholders proactively.
  • Serves as an intermediary, when needed, between the property and regional/corporate systems assistance.

Extra Duties 

  • Communicates and/or refreshes the executives, the colleagues, and the lower-level staff on pertinent information promptly.
  • Participates in staff/forecast/long-term meetings as needed by properties.
