Job Title: Architect
Purpose
To come up with designs that fit the company’s needs, style, and budget in order to bring the company’s unique vision to life.
Making sure the company meets all legal requirements, like planning permission, party wall agreements, and building regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep an eye on the design process from the first idea to the administration of construction to make sure the design idea stays the same.
- Attend field reviews, meetings on-site, and project meetings, as well as meetings to review the schedule and submit samples.
- Participate in team meetings to work out problems with the project and make sure technical issues don’t affect the schedule.
- Check the calculations, estimates, plans, and finished reports to make sure they are correct. Take care of the meeting minutes for coordinating consultants.
- Talk to building officials during the planning and building phases of a project.
- Keep track of the project manual and make and record observations and reviews on-site.
- During the end of a project, draft observation reports.
Competencies
- Building Technology know-how.
- You should be able to use a computer and know how to use AutoCAD, rendering, and other similar programs.
- Strong ability to think creatively and picture things. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
Qualifications
- Experience: You should have a degree or HND in architecture from a reputable school.
- At least three years’ worth of experience in a similar role.
