MSI Ghana works alongside the Ministry of Health and Child Care to provide high-quality, low-cost general health and sexual and reproductive health services throughout Ghana.
Job Description
MSI Ghana is looking for passionate, organized, client-oriented, and enthusiastic individuals with the following qualifications and experience in Accra and Kumasi. MSI Ghana’s mission is to address the needs of the underprivileged and increase access to Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.

Contract Duration: Temporary.
The SM Temporary Salesperson (TSP) is in charge of covering pharmacies and chemical shops to increase the distribution of SM products. The position will help to recruit more Pharmacies and Chemical Shops as sales outlets for SM products. Subsequently, the substantive position will support MSIG’s social marketing function.
The role will be headquartered in Accra and Kumasi.
Key Responsibilities:
Coverage and distribution.
- Visit pharmacies and chemical shops in designated regions between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm to discuss various SM products, including Mariprist, PTK, and BK-1, with pharmacists, pharmacy/chemical shop owners, and sales attendants.
- Receive product orders and request that MDs supply them.
- Visit at least 7 new pharmacies or chemical shops each day. -A total of 140 stores were visited, with 70 of them stocking SM items such as Mariprist, PTK, and BK1.
- Get at least three outlets to commit to purchasing at least one box of Mariprist, two boxes of PTK, and one box of BK-1 per month.
Reports
- Submit a report including the names, locations, and contact information for pharmacies and chemical shops visited.
- Submit a report detailing the outlets that stock products and the quantity of products stocked. Each outlet must have at least one box of Mariprist (10 packs), two boxes of PTK, and one box of BK-1 (10 packs).
Required Skill or Experience
To be successful in this role, you need:
- Bachelor’s degree/HND/Diploma in any health science, marketing, sales, or procurement.
- Experience selling medicines to pharmacies and chemical shops.
- Sales and marketing talents.
- Experience and knowledge of the private pharmaceutical industry, including working with regulated pharmaceutical products.
- Demonstrated experience working across teams and with external partners.
- Strong communication skills.
- Number literate and analytical, with good attention to detail.
- Computer literate
- Hardworking and results-oriented.
- Able to work freely and on their own initiative.
- Problem-solving and “can do” attitude toward issues
- Customer-focused
- Enjoys learning.
- Team player
- Pro-family planning, pro-choice
