POSITION: Caterpillar Mechanics
Mantrac Ghana is the exclusive authorized dealer in Ghana for Caterpillar Earthmoving, Construction, Power Systems, and Lift Truck products.
Role Summary
To advance our position as industry leaders, we encourage applications from highly driven and appropriately trained Caterpillar mechanics for employment in the company’s service department.
Remuneration: Successful candidates can expect to get exciting pay packages.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily routine maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and reefers, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Examine and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to detect worn or broken parts and recommend repairs.
- Troubleshoot engine problems with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble engines for repair or replacement of components.
- Use heavy equipment, such as Caterpillar machinery, for maintenance operations.
- Use HVAC skills to maintain automobiles’ heating and cooling systems.
- Work with industrial equipment to ensure proper operation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Requirements include MVT Part 3 certification and 3 years of post-qualification experience in earth-moving heavy equipment and hydraulics.
- Experience with Caterpillar field service would be considered a plus.
Requirements
- Must be prepared to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be ready to work in noisy and “dirty” conditions.
- Must be able to work with little to no supervision
