Job Title: Operations Steering Support Coordinator
This position helps the Operations department by keeping an eye on systems, writing local procedures, gathering and checking budget data, and running statistics as needed. It works with vendors to set up the Electronic Data Interchange platform and keeps an eye on how well they do.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping with vendor evaluations according to Hapag-Lloyd quality manuals and keeping an eye on vendor service levels.
- Providing on-demand statistics from all relevant systems to help management and staff in Operations analyze data.
- Keeping track of and coordinating the dressing and seal supplies in our locations
- Follow up with locations and vendors for required onboarding documents so that an approved supplier list can be made.
- Is the point of entry for operational costs in the area where budgets are made and actual costs are checked?
- Coordinates and gives reasons for any changes to the budget
- Makes sure that the information in our system is correct and of good quality.
- Supports and follows up on disputed cost cases until they are closed.
- Makes sure that onsite audits are done and recorded.
- Checks in with the quality and operations teams to make sure that work orders are being made and are finished.
- Helps Ghana with its cocoa stuffing, local equipment, and transportation.
- Helps customers and depots with their equipment when they need it.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Technical Skills: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an operational role, preferably in the maritime sector. Good command of spoken and written English. Full knowledge of operations applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, at a high level, analytical, able to work on multiple systems, and able to work with large databases.
- Good time management skills
