POSITION: Head, Account and Finance
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures financial accounting principles, practices, processes, and procedures are followed, as well as timely reporting.
- Keeping accurate records and delivering useful financial information.
- Calculate taxes owed and prepare tax returns for all clients, ensuring payment, reporting, and other tax responsibilities are met.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries and keeps books, including tracking expenses and revenue, billing and invoicing, and so on.
- Assist in supplying the essential accounting information to external auditors and managing GRA Audit concerns.
- Responsible for filings with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
- Professional and technical knowledge is kept up to date by attending educational programs and reading professional publications.
- importing data records into Quickbooks accounting software and producing reports
- Capability to create year-end financial statements from source documents.
- Capability to establish budgets and perform financial analysis.
- Capability to lead a team and give enough supervision.
- Maintains consumer trust and protects operations by keeping financial information private.
- Perform allocated activities and targets to achieve the desired outcome.
- Other tasks that may be assigned.
PERSONALITY DETAILS
- Bsc. Accounting/Master’s in Accounting/ACCA or other comparable Professional Certification in relevant subject with at least 8 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
- Required Knowledge and Skills: Proven accounting experience
- familiar with the use of accounting software
- Precision and attention to detail
- Numbers aptitude and organization
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Experience engaging with the GRA Audit Team is required.
