Mission:
Marketing Assistants are responsible for forecasting accuracy, marketing support, and sales support. The Marketing Assistant will also serve as a link between the sales, marketing, demand planning, and supply chain teams to increase operational efficiency and give our customers best-in-class assistance.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate forecasting of RGD components requirements in the West Africa region. Ensure that the correct forecast for each warehouse is established.
- Maintain positive relationships with the customer, internal sales team, and supply chain to optimize forecasting of consignment and internal warehouse inventories.
- Analyze and act on excess and slow-moving inventory to reduce obsolescence costs.
- Close communication with the supply chain team regarding new orders to be placed, open orders, and back orders.
- Work closely with customers to analyze consignment goods on a regular basis and provide accurate forecasts to the division.
- Review, manage, and optimize the region’s stocking assortment to achieve the best possible balance between part availability and inventory carrying costs.
- Analyze and support to improve our client delivery performance as well as DC/PC delivery performance in the region.
- Assist with raising and reviewing stocking requests for the region based on input from the sales and marketing teams.
- Support and ensure the timely submission of tender proposals and quotations to customers with high accuracy of information.
- Update MOL and Fleet Management tools based on feedback from the sales organization.
- Update TTM information based on feedback from the sales organization.
- Play an active role in developing and implementing the regional RGD marketing strategy.
- Keep track of all open customer queries and requests. Support the customer service team to guarantee that the customer receives a prompt answer.
Skill, Competency, and Experience:
- Knowledge of mining and drilling applications.
- Minimum of three years experience in marketing, sales, customer assistance, or supply chain.
- Strong computer abilities for data collection and analysis: MS Office includes Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good experience preparing and delivering presentations
- Effective English communication abilities. French would be an additional advantage.
- Fundamentals of inventory and customer management
- Marketing and sales knowledge is advantageous.
- Ability to persuade people by logical argument.
