Jr System Business Analyst Needed at Agroecom Ghana Limited
Ecom Agrotrade, a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company, is seeking an agribusiness analyst to convert Ecom’s business requirements into IT requirements and plans.
To achieve this, you will be required to interact with business heads and senior managers from Ecom’s different businesses (cocoa, logistics sustainability management services, etc) to fully understand their business requirements that require innovative software applications.
You will then need to manage the implementation of the required systems. Examples include designing software for mapping of farms, software for the purchase/ sales cycle of agrochemicals, etc.
The ideal candidate should be able to convert business ideas and needs into practical, software reality. A combined IT and agribusiness background is highly advantageous.
The business analyst sits within the Digital Transformation team at Ecom. He/ she would report into the Junior Project Manager. The role is full-time and could be based in our head office in Kumasi or in our regional office in Accra.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify needs and document new requirements for the different applications.
- Document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into development requirements.
- Design prototypes and coordinate approvals.
- Interpret and analyze business processes.
- Develop entity/relationship diagrams.
- Acquire information, analyze and provide solutions.
- Assists in trainings of the different applications.
- Verify the development cycle.
- Segregate requirements into task and prioritize
- Develop timeframes.
- Test every version of the system with users and collect feedback
- Create a continuous feedback cycle so that development, testing, user feedback cycle is shortened.
- Create and distribute usage report.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science/IT.
- Should understand at least one programming language.
- Ability to work in diverse teams.
- Ability to organize and coordinate several tasks and activities.
- Self-disciplined and organized.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to train and communicate effectively.
- Ability to organize and present data into meaningful outputs for decision making.
