POSITION: Product Specialist
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The incumbent is expected to meet the sales objective by providing technical or professional skills to clients/customers. On a daily basis, the incumbent will develop and manage customer relationships in order to meet established goals. The incumbent will also be responsible for general quotation administration, such as answering phone calls, tracking email inquiries, visiting clients, and so on. He or she will be responsible for the outlet’s proper management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze and investigate the market to discover new potential for the product(s) in the outlet.
- Develop and increase sales through the direct sales channel.
- Focusing on increasing and developing existing clients while also generating new business.
- Develop and maintain technical product expertise to efficiently support clients.
- Create and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to consumers and prospective customers.
- Develop effective relationships with clients to maintain good revenue growth for the organization.
- Manage product inventory and avoid stockouts for fast-moving items.
- Perform daily sales administration.
- Identify reselling opportunities.
- Maintain regular touch with clients through visits and phone conversations to acquire and renew orders and contracts.
- Schedule product demonstrations, training, and trial installations.
- Visit prospects to inform them about new solutions, technology, pricing, and availability.
- Work with internal sales to meet clients’ demands.
- Promote or implement new ideas and training to improve company outcomes.
- Ensure a degree of customer service that stands out from the competition.
- Act as a consultant for the market segment in which he or she operates.
- Oversee all sales and administrative transactions at the outlet.
- Addressing and resolving customer problems
- Maintain correct and accurate records for allowed creditors.
- Ensure inventory accuracy at the outlet.
- Assisting in developing strategic sales plans that extend the customer base and secure the company’s strong position in their designated industry.
OSHA RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and directions.
- Risk Assessment
- Hazard Identification and Reporting
- Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment, where applicable
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business, humanities, or social sciences.
- Three years of experience in sales
Skills and Abilities
- Promotes innovative ideas and projects.
- Leads people to complete tough undertakings or goals.
- Takes a stand to resolve major issues concerning the customers.
- Holds self and others accountable for reaching goals and fulfilling commitments.
