POSITION: Business Development Manager
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in sourcing, developing, and executing corporate finance opportunities and pension fund management initiatives. This position seeks a dynamic and results-driven sales professional with a strategic approach to expanding NIMED’s transaction volume and client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential clients to showcase NIMED’s investment offerings and services.
- Conduct research and prospect to build a robust pipeline of both individual and institutional clients.
- Market and present investment products, including pensions, Collective Investment Schemes, and Private Wealth Management, to prospective clients.
- Participate in virtual and in-person meetings with clients, supporting senior members of the business development team.
- Provide timely updates and follow-ups to clients regarding investment performance and potential opportunities.
- Aid in the creation of client proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Keep accurate records of client interactions and business development efforts.
- Research and analyze market trends, client requirements, and competitive products to inform the business development strategy.
- Assist in organizing events, client engagement activities, and presentations to bolster NIMED’s product visibility.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, corporate finance, pension fund management, or a similar role in the financial services sector.
- Must hold a valid Investment Banking license with certification from the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) or CISI.
- Proven success in a proactive business development or sales environment.
- Skilled in generating and nurturing leads while identifying new business opportunities.
- Strong network of relationships with Pension Fund Trustees and other key stakeholders.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
