POSITION: Office Manager
Do you have the skills, knowledge, and experience to run the day-to-day business of a small organization with multiple ways to make money? You must know how to use MS Excel and accounting software, and your written English must be very good.
You also need to know how to market yourself and get along with other people. Then, You will talk to people from all over the world and supervise, coordinate, and motivate local staff, so you will also need to speak Twi and Ga.
Job responsibilities/Description
Payroll, billing, and tax problems
- Make and keep up with databases, filing systems, expense reports, and other things like that.
- Set up meetings and appointments, keep track of them,
- Set up workshops, concerts, and other events for the public.
- Keep track of the reservations of house guests. Marketing: make plans and put them into action.
- Help with putting together business research reports.
- Set up the office with supplies and other things.
- Keep track of and organize your audio equipment to make sure it is stored correctly and is still working.
- Welcome visitors.
- Answer phone queries.
- Find new people to work for you and good tradespeople and technicians.
- Identify, report, and solve all problems.
- Be ready to help out whenever and wherever you are needed.
- You will work for me, a crusty old journalist who has lived in and around Africa for more than 20 years. I moved to Accra so I could make radio documentaries. At the moment, though, we work mostly in the risk industry, doing research on companies and people. We’re in Osu at Hechtech House, which has an office, guest rooms, and a space for events.
The starting salary is 1,500 cedis a month, and you can get bonuses and raises as you prove yourself.
