Tan Freight and Logistics is a limited liability business registered in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, with a Certificate of Incorporation, Certificate to Commence Business, and Customs House Agent Certification. We are a member of several international freight forwarding networks, which strengthens our skills and expands our global reach.
We are a dynamic freight firm that specializes in forwarding, customs clearing, transportation/haulage services, cold chain, cross-border trade, warehousing, distribution, project cargo shipments, and door-to-door service.
Position Summary:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for various aspects of sales and marketing activities such as increasing brand visibility, ensuring brand consistency, driving revenue generation, managing customer relationships, fostering innovation, and carrying out event management initiatives. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in the freight and logistics industries, with the possibility of permanent employment depending on performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage with consumers and stakeholders using a variety of channels, including as in-person meetings, events, and online communication tools.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement strategies for increasing brand visibility and positioning in the target market.
- Support efforts to ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and touchpoints, while adhering to brand rules.
- Help to find and capitalize on revenue-generating possibilities in order to accomplish sales targets and objectives.
- Engage with current and new customers to build and develop connections while providing great customer service and support.
- Contribute to establishing an innovative and adaptable culture by continually pursuing new ideas and techniques to improve business operations and customer experiences.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of events designed to increase brand exposure, engagement, and lead generation.
- Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights to help guide strategic decision-making.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team by managing data, reporting, and documenting duties.
- Actively participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to improve your sales abilities and industry knowledge.
- Adhere to company policies, processes, and ethical standards in all operations and interactions while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
Duration:
This internship is for three months and might be extended dependent on performance. Selected interns who exhibit proficiency in completing the following responsibilities and expectations will be offered an extra three months of training.
Successful completion of the course may lead to permanent employment with TAN Freight & Logistics.
Certificates:
Interns will get a Certificate of Participation after successfully completing their internship time. Interns who perform very well during the training period may be eligible for a Certificate of Training.
Note: This internship provides great learning opportunities and hands-on exposure in all aspects of sales and marketing within the freight and logistics business. Successful interns will have the option to advance to permanent positions within the organization, depending on their performance and appropriateness for the post.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a SHS/SSS certificate.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, particularly those with backgrounds in business administration, marketing, or logistics and supply chain management, will have an edge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an acute sense of detail.
- Ability to operate well both alone and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Prior experience or training in sales, marketing, or customer relationship management is preferred, but not needed.
- A desire to learn and make a good contribution to the freight and logistics business.
- Proficiency in French will be advantageous.
