ROLE: Construction Coordinator
Job Details
We are looking for enthusiastic, pragmatic applicants who realize that a happy team is a hardworking team and that open and honest communication is essential for project completion. Construction coordinators can anticipate working with a variety of teams and budgets that are continuously shifting and changing. Working with municipal, state, and federal codes and laws, as well as communicating with developers, clients, workers, and inspectors, is all part of the job. They should have a solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, as well as great interpersonal communication skills and a cost-conscious attitude.
To be a great construction coordinator, you must be a positive, calm, and insightful problem-solver. Ideal candidates will have great analytical and time-management abilities, the ability to identify and utilize workers’ various skills and talents, a basic understanding of project management software, and an unwavering regard for modern best practices, laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Managing work quality and budget expenditures
- Clients, developers, architects, and engineers must all be communicated with.
- Work schedules for contractors and laborers are being created.
- Identifying, developing, and deploying people to maximize productivity and work quality.
- Following budgetary and timing restrictions.
- Visiting and inspecting construction sites.
- Progress and obstacles will be reported on.
- Finding, hiring, and supervising contractors and subcontractors.
- Learning and applying the most recent pertinent knowledge to the job.
Qualifications:
- It is preferable to have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or building science.
- 2-5 years of construction experience is essential.
- A recognized internship is advantageous.
- Business and communication skills are second to none.
- Voluntary certification is advantageous.
- Understanding of project management software
