Role Summary
The Corporate Security Coordinator will be tasked with safeguarding the safety and security of the organization’s personnel, resources, and data. This position encompasses creating security protocols, supervising physical security initiatives like surveillance and access management, handling crisis responses, and guaranteeing adherence to security regulations.
Main Duties
- Conduct risk assessment on Sandvik plants and locations where employees operate under client agreements.
- Aid in executing the crisis management strategy for the sales region.
- Guarantee the protection of staff and assist all SHEQ efforts.
- Provide security recommendations for employee visits to external organizations, international guests to the Sales Area, and client locations.
- Examine security conditions for either the staff or the organization.
- Oversee the gate activities and maintain top-notch security at the entrances and the site’s boundaries via an external agency.
- Notify and prevent theft/unwanted incidents/suspicious activities within/outside the company grounds and take necessary actions.
- Guarantee adherence to legal requirements concerning the security contract and operations, and collaborate with the security contractor for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain ongoing surveillance of CCTV systems and securely retain recordings for the designated duration.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations regarding the transportation of goods, vehicles, waste, and individuals in and out of the facilities.
- Implement measures to utilize the newest methods for enhancing security effectiveness.
- Educate staff on overall security measures.
- Spread details about security incidents relevant to staff.
- Assist in the recruitment and assessment of GPS tracking firms and the delegation of security services.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Undergraduate degree in the relevant field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of security experience in a multinational corporation, military, or paramilitary organization.
- Skill in business English (both written and spoken)
- Being skilled in French will provide an additional benefit.
- Capability to operate electronic security devices
- Robust commercial acumen and emphasis on EHS
- Effective communication, interpersonal abilities, and people management skills are vital.
- Skillful in utilizing MS Office applications.
- Capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and offer direction to team members.
