POSITION: Finance Manager
Oduma Solutions Ltd is a managed security service provider with a large team of qualified IT and information security professionals. We provide services to help clients in a variety of sectors secure physical and electronic information assets throughout their organization to maintain a competitive advantage and protect their commercial brand.
We are searching for a dedicated and experienced financial professional to join our growing team, which provides managed IT and information security services to clients across multiple industries.
The selected candidate will supervise the Finance team and be in charge of managing financial operations, maintaining the company’s financial health, and assisting with strategic decision-making. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Full ownership of the numbers is required to ensure proper reporting.
- To ensure proper accounting treatment and transparent reporting/analysis.
- Responsible for providing best practices, detailed reporting, and analysis to support daily and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the timely production and filing of monthly statutory returns (VAT, SSNIT, and PAYE).
- To guarantee that all procedures are adequately documented and stored in a Finance library. This will also include generating training materials as needed.
- To ensure complete and timely compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.
- To implement the Continuous Improvement methodology inside Finance
Management Accounting
- Responsible for the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, as well as the analysis of actual results.
- Variance analysis and justification of adverse deviations with mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with Business Development Teams to offer necessary financial information while also scrutinizing and analyzing costs, pricing, and sales performance.
- Monitor and assess financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking remedial action.
- Cost-center analysis and reporting.
Financial Control Environment
- Responsible for the implementation, execution, and continuing monitoring of the business control framework. This ensures the integrity, correctness, and completeness of financial statements.
- To ensure that appropriate financial controls are implemented in Finance and throughout the company.
- Continuously review controls and risks and ensure that new risks are addressed.
- To question the business’s financial risks and impact control design.
Treasury
- Managing and developing relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and clients.
- Responsible for overall liquidity management across the organization.
- Regular administration of foreign exchange, treasury, and trade finance products.
- Overseeing the proper and timely compilation of bank reconciliations.
Experience
- Experienced and accredited [ACCA/CIMA] finance professional with over 5 years of qualification and only first-time ACCA or CIMA passes.
- A comprehensive set of essential finance abilities, including governance, controls and risk management, value management, performance management, reporting and accounting, treasury, and tax.
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar field would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior management position in finance.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to handle numerous priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
