Job Description

• Start date: July 2024.
• Reports to: Senior Administrative Assistant.

IPA is looking for a skilled, experienced driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Motivate project teams, employees, and other visitors.
• Drive to project sites as necessary.
• Perform basic car maintenance (such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels).
• Report any mechanical problems with the vehicle to guarantee prompt repair.
• Should be willing to travel and work in remote areas.
• Ensure that the car is not abused or mismanaged in any way.
• Ensure that the car is utilized only for official tasks.
• Provide the Administrative Assistant with periodic status reports on the car.
• Transport employees to their locations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
• Plan routes with GPS navigation and adjust for traffic conditions.
• Assist in loading baggage and other stuff into the van.
• Anticipate staff needs and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain the confidentiality and discretion of passengers’ discussions and activities.
• Obey all driving laws and regulations.
• Employees may be required to do errands or make deliveries on their behalf.
• Keep a clean driving record.

Required Skill or Experience

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• A minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience
• Excellent customer service, professionally and kindly.
• The ability to retain discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong navigational abilities and a clear sense of direction.
• Excellent time management abilities and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Under pressure, remain calm and composed.
• Knowledge of the surrounding area and terrain (a plus).
