POSITION: Senior Legal Officer
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) is seeking a qualified, goal-oriented, and results-driven individual with remarkable attributes for the position listed below: Senior Legal Officer
Job Purpose
To offer technical and operational support for the efficient and effective execution of the commission’s lawful tasks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collect data for policy formulation.
- Monitor and evaluate policies, programs, and guidelines.
- Implement business procedures, processes, and systems for efficient resource management.
- Supervise legal strategy development and implementation.
- Oversee prosecution in legal and administrative proceedings.
- Represent the commission in court. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, collaborating with stakeholders, supervising draft legal documents, providing legal advice, preparing work plans and budgets, and submitting annual and periodic reports. Supervise and evaluate the performance of immediate subordinate staff.
Qualifications & Experience
To apply, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution, be called to the Ghana bar, have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in a reputable organization, and pass a selection interview conducted by the commission in collaboration with the Public Service Commission.
Location: Accra.
