ROLE: Research and Development Executive
Job Brief:
Maintain the organization’s competitiveness and ability to make money by completing both short-term and long-term projects. This includes getting approval for projects, developing or buying systems, and developing products from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Create new things.
- Test the quality of the prototypes you’ve made.
- Use market samples to do a benchmark analysis.
- Find new ways for existing products to be used.
- Create systems and ways to make products better.
- Make sure that all laws are followed.
- Make formulas for products.
- Develop and improve specifications for products that are new or already on the market.
- Study the stability of prototypes and the first commercial batches under normal and accelerated conditions.
- Do commercial manufacturing orders for experimental and pilot batches. Work on solving problems.
- Work with the leadership team and production teams to improve time to market by reducing the product development life cycle and improving the product development process. This will help you get new products out on time and within specifications.
- Completely and accurately figure out how much the ingredients for the products will cost.
- Work with different departments on all parts of a product’s launch, such as marketing, creative, training, and materials.
- Watch over the review of how changes to documents affect research and development.
- Lead the department’s efforts to adopt ISO and CGMP.
- Make sure that the Data generated for Product Registration is kept in the right way so that it can be sent to Government Regulatory Agencies.

Managerial Competence
- Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, control & monitor.
- Posse critical thinking skills.
Technical Know-How
- Having the ability to evaluate risks.
- Ability to find safety problems and offer ways to fix them.
- Know about things that could be dangerous.
- Knowing what the EPA, ISO, and CGMP rules are.
Personal Competence
- Someone who works well with others.
- Strong ability to change and work with little or no guidance.
- Analytical.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of proven experience in a similar job, preferably making home care products, laundry bars, or detergents.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering, pharmacy, chemistry, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of how to use Microsoft programs, preferably Excel.
- The candidate must live in Tema or an area close to it.
