Job Description:
We are looking to hire a skilled person for the Mechanical Technician job in our company.
Duties or Tasks
- Fixing and putting together machine parts.
- Help the operations team run machines at the right speeds and conditions to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Makes reports, studies information, and suggests ways to improve how the plant runs and fix maintenance issues.
- Keeps maintenance tools in good shape and fixes them.
- Make sure that safety, technical rules, food safety, and company guidelines are always followed.
- Keeps an eye on how the plant machines and systems are working to reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Follow the regular maintenance schedule.
- Make sure that machines and tools work well by regularly checking and fixing them before they break down. This includes production machines, motors, engines, conveyor belts, and air-powered tools.
- Check and oversee the work done by outside companies.
- Make reports, keep records, and order supplies and parts.
- Take care of the heating and plumbing systems.
- Help set up fans and cooling systems, and fix them when needed.
- Check buildings to make sure they meet health and safety rules.
- Looks at and understands mechanical drawings to help with repairs.
Skills or Experience Required
- MET 3 with 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or HND with 2 years of work experience in the same field.
- Applicants should understand how to solve problems with machines (like air and liquid systems) and know how to use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs).
