Global Maritime Consultants Group (GMCG) is happy to announce that they are looking for a REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR in West Africa. We are looking for an energetic and experienced worker to join our team and help us grow in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and use regional business plans that are in line with the goals of the company. Set up and keep up good partnerships with clients, business partners, and local authorities.
- Find new business options and possible ways to work together in the area.
- Manage projects and make sure services are delivered on time.
- Manage and help a group of people who work locally.
- Make sure you’re following all local rules and business standards.
- Give the top management team of the company regular updates and reports.
- Bring in ideas and turn them into projects in the maritime, offshore, and oil and gas markets
Qualifications
- Maritime engineering, naval architecture, or a similar field bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- At least 10 years of experience in the maritime and offshore business, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- You must be able to speak French and English well.
- Strong understanding of the maritime and offshore/oil and gas markets in West Africa and how business is done there.
- Good at talking to people, negotiating, and getting along with them.
- Able to travel around the area when necessary.
