What you should expect of the subject
This course serves as an introduction to Java programming. It is divided into three sections, the first of which introduces programming using everyday objects like calculators and games. This version of the textbook updates the April 2015 release.
Throughout the five weeks, strong ideas like functional abstraction, the object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm, and application programming interfaces (APIs) are gradually introduced. Examples and case studies are shown so that students can independently or jointly implement straightforward applications.
Writing “good” programs, which can be viewed from the angles of accuracy, efficiency, software engineering approaches, and ethics, will be the main topic of Part 2.
Fundamental data structures like sequences and the algorithms that operate on them, such as searching and sorting, will be covered in Part 3.
Immediate feedback and having a good time are prioritized. Understanding programming is useful for more than just programming modern technology like computers and cell phones. Moreover, it facilitates computational thinking or the use of computing methods in regular operations.
