In-demand jobs in Canada for 2023

Today, we’ll talk about the Top 10 Jobs in Demand in Canada in 2023.

The pandemic has totally changed the job market, touching fields from tech to production and manufacturing all over the country. Canada’s job market is radically different than it was just one year ago.

In important jobs like shopping, customer service, storage, cooking, and serving, the demand for workers is higher than the supply, and this trend is expected to continue in 2023. Jobs in e-commerce, IT, building, and healthcare were in demand before, and that demand is still growing. Since this is common knowledge, we won’t talk about it!

1. Service to customers

The COVID-19 outbreak put customer service jobs at the top of the list of jobs that needed to be filled. In 2020, 2021 and so far in 2022, help lines got a high number of calls from customers who wanted to cancel their plans and get a refund or just find out more about a company’s COVID process.

Even though some of the misunderstandings may have cleared up at this point, people who work in customer service are still in high demand. Many businesses have closed their stores, cut back on the number of stores they have, or gone completely virtual. Plus, many call center jobs are online so you can work from anywhere.

There are more than 37,700 open customer service jobs in Canada, with 19,479 of them in Ontario and 9,072 in British Columbia.

High-Demand Areas: Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

2. Delivery Drivers

Restaurants and shops also changed a lot because of social distance. They had to quickly change how they do business to keep up with new safety rules, online buying, and changes in the way people shop. This led to a big rise in the need for delivery drivers. People who bring the last mile, drive long-haul trucks, and serve food are in high demand right now.

Stay-at-home shopping made online outlets more popular than ever. We do more of our daily jobs on the internet than we ever have before. For our safety, everything we do online needs to be protected, whether we’re talking, shopping, working, having fun, or paying. This is where security experts can help. The next 10 years should be a good time to be good at cybersecurity in particular. In fact, the number of jobs for cyber security experts in Canada grows by 7% every year, and in 2022, the average annual salary for a cyber security expert will be $97,000.

There are a lot of office assistant jobs that can be done from home.
