I&I Hospital LTD, situated in New Abirem in the Eastern Region, is looking to hire a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Duties:

• Describing sonographic processes to patients, addressing inquiries, readying patients by spreading gel on the skin, and arranging patients on the examination table.
• Guaranteeing sharp images for diagnostic reasons and modifying the sonographic equipment as needed.
• Choosing the right settings and modifying the positions of the patients as needed.
• Supervising and supporting patients to guarantee their safety and comfort throughout the procedures.
• Choosing and analyzing images, searching for distinctions between healthy and diseased regions, and deciding if the extent of the examination needs to be broadened based on initial results.
• Showing the sonograms and initial results to the Physicians.
• Fill out the correct paperwork and keep track of patients’ histories and medical files.
• Supporting doctors and healthcare teams during invasive interventions.
• Caring for and sanitizing the sonographic apparatus.
• Carrying out medical tasks, including providing oxygen, measuring vital signs, and delivering emergency care.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• The individual must possess the skills to proficiently use ultrasound equipment for conducting ultrasounds (2D and Doppler) in obstetrics and gynecology, abdominal ultrasound, and for additional purposes (e.g., breast, prostate, thyroid, etc.).
• Should be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council and maintain good standing.
