Geo Marketing Manager at AirtelTigo
Job Summary
- The right person will become a Manager for Geo Marketing in the Marketing Department and join our team
- (S)he will report to the Head of Planning and Performance and will be in charge of gathering and analyzing data to help make decisions.
- The Geo Marketing Manager will also be in charge of preparing revenue forecasts and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track daily and monthly performance. They will also work with the sales, network, and commercial teams to track and drive site profitability, 4G rollout, National roaming, and GIFEC.
Key Responsibilities
- In charge of keeping track of and analyzing all 4G rollout, GIFEC, and National Roaming KPIs.
- Make sure that accurate, insightful, and timely analysis of how the business is doing is given.
- Give an in-depth understanding of operational and financial performance at the regional and zonal levels.
- Combine and analyze market research data, official statistics, and internal management information systems (MIS) to get a good picture of our customers and markets at both the national and local levels (territories, regions, circuits, zones, etc.).
- Take charge of projects by using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to find insights that will help guide strategic decisions and find ways to improve things.
- Give business analytics and insights about how customers behave and use services, as well as how network performance affects service revenue, and make all business forecasts.
- Give data and insights to the commercial business units and finance decision support teams to help them review newly launched products after they’ve been put into action.
- Come up with ideas for how to solve business problems and lead the writing up and upkeep of business reporting definitions.
- Data mining is the process of getting usable data from valuable data sources and cleaning, validating, and processing data that will be used for analysis.
- Looking at a lot of information to find patterns and solutions and making systems that can predict what will happen.

- Give the U&R team data and insights to help them manage their customer base, reduce customer turnover, and come up with new, exciting products.
Technical Know-How
- Must be good at analyzing, understanding, and solving problems.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail.
- Proven experience using excel.
- Knowing how to make a budget, how to use it, and how to judge it.
Communication
- You have to be able to talk and write with confidence. It is a normal part of this role to have to give presentations to the business.
- Must have good people skills to be able to work closely with the business’s financial teams.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field, but with a focus on economics, statistics, math, engineering, business, etc.
- At least two to three years of experience in the telecommunications industry or two to three years in the marketing or sales department.
- Very good, and I know a lot about the telecoms industry.
