POSITION: Warehouse Assistant

VisionSpring, a worldwide humanitarian organisation, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant. The Warehouse Assistant plays a key part in the In-Country planning, organisation, and execution of day-to-day Warehouse Operations. The Warehouse Assistant will establish working relationships with all stakeholders and review and coordinate all Pick and Pack, POD, and Inventory Data into the VisionSpring ERP System. Also, The Warehouse Assistant will have a thorough understanding of the stock on hand, actively monitor what is being used, and assist the Global Supply Chain in managing stock and replenishments in a timely manner. The Warehouse Assistant will report to the Supply Chain Coordinator Ghana in Accra.

Requirements
- Exemplify the warehouse procedures in VisionSpring Ghana Warehouse.
- Examine all incoming shipment paperwork for accuracy (ensuring that the packing list matches the received goods) and sign off on it.
- Ensure that these commodities are stored in accordance with their organisation’s systems and rules.
- Maintains correct inventory statistics in the warehouse; collaborates with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure an accurate count of the number and kind of items stored.
- Accuracy, like other aspects of this role, is highly prized.
- The assistant often works as part of the Warehouse team, reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator and adhering to the company’s numerous inventory control systems.
- Works largely in the warehouse and must be able to move items weighing 10 to 15 kilograms.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve warehouse data, information, and operations.
- Actively endeavour to improve all parts of the warehouse by streamlining processes.
- Exceptional capacity to envision large-scale initiatives and anticipate issues and needs to be solved.
- Excellent understanding of all areas of warehouse processes.
- Previous experience in warehouse management is required.
- Experience dealing with and maintaining databases utilising SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other tools related to organisational procedures.
- Warehouse Management certification is ideal, however we welcome those with a B.SC. in any comparable discipline.
