POSITION: Rooms Preventive Maintenance Technician
POSITION OVERVIEW
Conduct routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms, (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting spaces, and/or public areas as needed, which includes flipping and inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, performing spot cleaning on carpets and upholstery, dusting, doing touch-up painting and furniture repairs while ensuring all essential hardware and appliances are available in the room and functioning properly, replacing light fixtures, and examining and repairing grout and caulking.
Keep, restore, and tidy all guest rooms following the property’s preventive maintenance protocols and established guidelines. Carry out various small repairs like securing loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and fixing holes in walls. Conduct routine cleaning of all surfaces in guest rooms, including the bathtub, wall tiles, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors. Notify the manager/supervisor at once about any significant maintenance issues, unexpected discoveries, or safety risks.
Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures of the company; notify the manager of accidents, injuries, and hazardous work conditions; and finish safety training and certifications. Adhere to all company rules and guidelines, ensure your uniform and appearance are tidy and professional, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and safeguard company resources. Greet and recognize every guest following company guidelines while proactively identifying and fulfilling their service requirements. Foster and sustain constructive working relationships with colleagues, and assist the team in achieving shared objectives.
Guarantee compliance with quality requirements and benchmarks. Extend your arms overhead and below your knees, which includes bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching. Transport, raise, bear, shove, tug, and position items weighing 50 pounds or less independently. Help with relocating, lifting, transporting, and positioning items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Remain standing, sitting, or walking for a prolonged duration or throughout an entire work shift. Carry out additional appropriate job tasks as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school certificate or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Relevant Work Experience: Under 1 year of pertinent work experience.
- Experience in Supervision: Lacks supervisory experience.
- Certification or License: None
