POSITION: Senior Software Engineer, Google Research
Minimum qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar practical experience.
- 5 years of experience developing software in one or more programming languages, as well as working with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, plus 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s or doctoral degree in computer science or a related technological sector.
- One year of experience in technical leadership.
- Experience in applied machine learning (e.g., computer vision, transformers, generative AI, and LLM).
- Experience with remote sensing and geospatial data science.
- Experience designing accessible technology.

Responsibilities
- Create and test product or system development code.
- Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to choose among available technologies.
- Review other developers’ code and provide suggestions to ensure best practices.
- Contribute to current documentation or educational content, and make changes depending on product/program upgrades and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by examining the cause of the problem and its impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
