ROLE: Senior Software Engineer, Google Research
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning, machine learning algorithms, and data analysis.
- Experience in leading in a technical field.

- Learn how to use earth observations and facts about the environment.
- Experience with machine learning tools like probabilistic modeling, uncertainty quantification, computer vision and image analysis, transformers, etc.
About the Job
As a Software Engineer in Google Research, you will set up large-scale tests and launch promising ideas quickly and widely. You will also manage deadlines and deliverables while using the latest theories to create new and better products, processes, or technologies.
Moreover, You will work on real-world problems in all areas of computer science, such as machine and deep learning, data mining, natural language processing, hardware and software performance analysis, improving compilers for mobile platforms, core search, and much more.
You will also actively contribute to the larger research community by sharing and publishing your results. Your ideas will come from both internal projects and collaborations with programs at partner universities and technical institutes all over the world.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-world projects that have an effect from start to finish, from idea to exploration and research to implementation and deployment.
- Develop answers for big problems in the real world, with a focus on Africa.
- Make machine learning models in Python (using Tensorflow or JAX) and make tools and systems to train them at scale on Google’s infrastructure.
- Help with the large-scale deployment and testing of products in the real world.
- To drive study, you need to be able to act on your own and show technical leadership.
