JOB TITLE: Product Specialist – LHD Support

Main Responsibilities

  • Firstly, To perform Field Service work including scheduled service and breakdown repairs on Epiroc Underground Material Handling and Drilling Equipment
  • Secondly, To market and promote field service work and other aftermarket services and products to customers to support business growth of the Parts and Service Division.
  • Thirdly, To assist with sub assembly repairs and machine rebuilds in the site workshop when required.
  • Moreover, To assist at service contracts with machine services and breakdown repairs when required.
  • Furthermore, To take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance for the company’s vehicle/tools and equipment in your care.
  • More so, Provide Skills Transfer to Customer’s Technical Personnel whiles on site.
  • Then, Support Technical Team and Customer in Warranty Repairs and Claim Processing.
  • Also, Produce and maintain accurate records of client’s maintenance activities whiles on the customer site.
  • Afterwards, Participate and initiate ongoing Productivity and efficiency improvement projects with Atlas Copco working environment
  • Most importantly, Assist Epiroc and Customer Planners with stock keeping and stock level management
  • After that, To have a safety-first mindset and to always act responsibly with your safety and that of your colleagues as number 1 priority. Main Duties Equipment Support
  • Additionally, Total Epiroc Product support regarding Maintenance and Performance functions.
  • Again, Training and coaching of Customer service technicians.
  • Last but not least, Pre-delivery service, some in workshop and on site.
  • Finally, Commissioning of equipment – Mainly, but not limited to Underground LHD Equipment.

Required Skills and Capabilities

  • Technical background
  • Willingness and ability to do ongoing self-training
  • Computer literacy
  • Good customer relations
  • Good telephone manners and skills
  • Excellent product knowledge
  • Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the Product Support team
  • Selling skills
  • Be able to work independently without supervision
  • Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code

Educational requirements

  • Minimum of HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
