POSITION: Security Supervisor

Our customer is Ghana’s top pharmaceutical company. The organization is currently looking for a hands-on Security Supervisor to be headquartered in its Accra offices and oversee day-to-day operations in Tema.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the daily deployment of Security Officers and shift management, including ensuring that the necessary number of contract security officers are on duty.
• Promptly and fearlessly report any security incidents/crimes (actual, suspected, or attempted) to the Head of Security. Create reports and record all facts and proof.
• Create and distribute a duty roster to security officers, documenting it in a book. Send copies of the duty roster to the Head of Security for assessment and approval.
• Provide on-the-job training to all newly hired security officers, as well as site orientations and tours for visitors and new employees.
• Demand job perfection from individual team members while instilling discipline in the team.
• Conduct daily inner and outside perimeter patrols to inspect security officers, work methods, storage places, and other security violations.
• Conduct and/or supervise a search and seizure of finished products, raw materials, tools, scrap materials, and any corporate property that has been unlawfully removed from the site.
• Conduct patrols and spot checks; apprehend the perpetrator(s) of the crime.
• Take proactive actions to ensure a safe and secure workplace for employees and visitors.
• Lead the emergency evacuation of workers and guests.
• Provide specialist security, monitor CCTV surveillance and alarm systems, and restrict access to locations such as inventory, cold/storage rooms, employee files, and private documents.
• Keep all controlled access keys secure and confidential.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least a diploma/degree in business administration, psychology, security and safety, or a similar field.
• Certification in CCTV training or crime prevention is an added benefit.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
