Engine Workshop Technician at Cummins Inc
We are looking for a skilled ENGINE WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN to join our team in ACCRA, GREATER ACCRA, GHANA. This person would be in charge of service for our Distribution Business Segment.
Responsibilities
In this job, you will make a difference in the following ways:
- Diagnoses, fixes, and rebuilds engine products in a service shop with little guidance.
- Uses written processes and policies to do complex repairs, such as finding and preparing the parts and tools that are needed.
- Disassemble, check, clean, and put back together engines and/or engine parts. Based on an assessment of engines, performs preventive maintenance.
- Helps more experienced mechanics figure out what’s wrong with engines and come up with plans for fixing them in the workshop.
- Fills out paperwork that needs to be done, like work-done documents, time sheets, insurance claims, and quality documents, by handwriting forms or using business system input screens.
- Follows all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, processes, and laws, and tells their supervisor about any problems or accidents.
Requirements
For this job to go well, you’ll need the following:
- Apprentice trained in engine repair (preferred).
- Vocational diploma from the appropriate technical institution.
- A license that is valid where you live (preferred).
- Needs understanding or experience with engine products at the intermediate level.
- 3–5 years of work history.
