POSITION: CHEMISTRY TEACHER

DPS International Ghana, founded in 2010, aspires to instill a rich ethos of life, including integrity, honesty, trust, tolerance, and compassion. DPS International Ghana is approved by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

DPSI International Ghana is seeking passionate, well-experienced teachers to join our team for the role of CHEMISTRY TEACHER (IGCSE AND A-LEVEL)

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the curriculum and creating timetables, lesson plans, and teaching methods to assist students complete the required subject.
• Creating and delivering engaging and straightforward lessons.
• Educating pupils about lab safety and ensuring that all experiments are conducted responsibly.
• Creating tests, assignments, experiments, and grading pupils equitably.
• Ensure that students have access to suitable resources and consultation hours.
• Mentoring and supporting student teachers.
• Attending staff and parent meetings, seminars, workshops, and other continuous education events.
• Informing and preparing pupils for science competitions and expositions.
• Performing various administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining student data and keeping track of lab supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Creating a safe, healthy classroom climate conducive to learning.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline or higher from an approved institution.
• At least three years of teaching experience in IGCSE and A Level Chemistry, with a thorough understanding of the subject.
• Experience in giving Cambridge A-levels.
• Strong understanding of curriculum pedagogy.
• Awareness of cultural diversity.
• Ability to establish positive interactions with parents.
• Show initiative while remaining flexible and adaptable.
