Electrical Technician at Unilever
Role And Responsibilities
- Set up and take care of electrical systems and tools.
- Putting together an electrical system
- Install and maintain motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and parts based on engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
- Under the direction of the Electrical Engineer, makes changes to electrical prototypes to fix problems with how they work.
- Troubleshoot why electrical equipment isn’t working or has stopped working, and do both preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Records the results of regular electrical tests and suggests or starts to change or replace equipment that doesn’t meet acceptable operating standards.
- Report to the Electrical Engineer on how daily tasks and work are going.
- Follow the maintenance schedule or plan and do all of the production maintenance tasks that have been given to you.
- Do maintenance that isn’t routine or is needed because something broke. Work with electrical engineers and other staff members to find, define, and fix electrical problems.
- Talks to different departments about different electrical maintenance jobs
- Talk to people in other maintenance and service departments to coordinate repairs or regular maintenance on buildings and plants.
- Use the most efficient “Best Practice” methods of manufacturing to increase efficiency and lower CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)
Requirements for qualifications and education
- Electrical Engineering HND At least two years of work experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
- Show that you know how to use a variety of tools to find and fix electrical problems.
- Help the Maintenance Manager control and plan the work that needs to be done.
- Must have basic skills and experience working with electrical systems.
