POSITION: Paralegal and Pupil
JOB SUMMARY
There is a job opportunity for a paralegal and a prospective pupil in the firm. Successful applicants should either be completing their law studies or should have completed their law studies. Prior work experience is desirable. Selected applicants will work closely with our lawyers and stand to gain invaluable work experience and expertise across the disciplines practiced by the firm.
The paralegal will;
- Assist lawyers with legal research, drafting documents and letters using templates
- Coordinate appointments including all correspondence and logistics
- Assist with administrative tasks such as accounting, billing, filing documents, and implementing a system to improve the administrative process for efficient workflow.
The pupil will be required to;
- Think through legal problems, research, and assist our team with drafting legal opinions and
other written work. - Draft and review agreements and conduct diligence exercises.
- Correspond with clients, external lawyers, and officials of government institutions on behalf of the firm.
- Carry out other tasks and exercises expected of a pupil seeking to obtain a solicitor’s license.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A law degree from a recognized accredited institution
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite)
- High level of integrity
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and should be able to work well in a team
- Excellent oral and written communication in the English Language
