Earthworm Foundation Calls For Job Applications

Role: Global Lead for Sustainability Data Analysis

About the Earthworm Foundation.

With the majority of our personnel working directly on the ground where the issues exist, we collaborate with our members and partners to transform value chains into engines of wealth for communities and ecosystems.

We envision a society in which forests are a limitless source of materials and a home for biodiversity; communities’ rights are respected and given development opportunities; workers are viewed as productive partners; and agriculture is used to feed a hungry planet while maintaining climate stability.

Your Role

As Data Analysis Worldwide Lead, you will be a member of the Global Data Team, a passionate team dedicated to addressing data needs across the company and resolving key social and environmental concerns on a worldwide scale. The following are some of the important aspects of the role:

  • Manage a global team of data analysts scattered throughout Earthworm Foundation offices, promoting their technical and interpersonal development.
  • Act as the organization’s data analysis expert, assisting with issue-solving and sharing technical knowledge with teams and peers, particularly in the areas of data analysis and data insights.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best possible delivery times and priorities, promote the development of new solutions, and meet new analytical demands as they arise.
  • Create a delivery strategy that defines processes, resource allocation, and an overall timetable so that you can prepare ahead of time for the various data analysis initiatives.
  • Oversee contract execution, including conflict resolution, timely delivery, and high-quality results. These quality factors include not only the data components but also how quantitative and qualitative insights are presented.
  • Lead continuous improvement operations as we collaborate with agricultural supply chain companies to identify and implement measures that benefit people and the environment.
  • The more we improve our processes, the better the impact.
  • Be strategic and forward-thinking, as the function must go beyond operational delivery.
  • Be an active member of the Global Data Leadership Team, helping to build the team, solve new problems, and forecast resources.

Your Profile

  • You want to work for a thriving non-profit that partners with businesses, governments, and civil society organizations to bring responsible goods to market. You are passionate about using agricultural supply chains to improve environmental and social impacts.
  • A Master’s degree in process planning and optimization, data analysis and management, or other analytical subjects is ideal. You can easily understand and interpret complex facts into a compelling story. Your expertise, knowledge, and curiosity allow you to think creatively and provide new ideas, best practices, and solutions.
  • Forward-thinking people plan for future work and demands. You enjoy solving problems fast, streamlining procedures for improvement, and adapting to last-minute requirements and deadlines.
  • You develop strong team ties and lead them with care and optimism as a natural leader. You are a good communicator who enjoys writing and editing reports and wants to help the team improve.
  • This job requires advanced Excel skills (including VBA) and data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau).

Working Conditions:

  • A master’s degree in the appropriate discipline is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience (including management of at least three direct reports)
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
  • Full-time, open-ended contract position headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Alternatively, visit London, UK, or Lille, France.
  • Citizenship or valid work authorization is essential to applying.

If you want to make a difference, innovate, and save the environment, here is the opportunity for you! The team you’d be joining is deeply committed to and passionate about discovering practical solutions to improve the relationship between people and nature.
