Description of the Role
This position is for a Security Officer at Dstar Marketing Company, and it is a full-time remote role. The Security Officer’s primary role is to safeguard the company’s digital assets, proactively monitor and address security incidents, enforce security protocols, and perform regular security audits. The Security Officer will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the overall security posture.
Responsibilities
- Installing security systems and controls.
- Regularly inspecting and patrolling the premises.
- Surveillance cameras should be monitored and suspicious behaviour reported.
- Communicating with law enforcement, fire agencies, and emergency medical responders.
- Monitor public access and ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors.
- Responding to alerts and evaluating surveillance footage.
- Investigating suspicious activity, incidents, and security breaches.
- Apprehending intruders and criminals.
- Maintaining an activity log and generating surveillance reports.
- Adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
Experience and skills
- Understanding of digital security systems and protocols
- Proficient in monitoring and promptly addressing security incidents
- Proficiency in implementing and maintaining security procedures
- Impressive problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Having relevant certifications such as CISSP and CISM can be beneficial.
- Having experience in the marketing or hospitality industry can be advantageous.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
