Job Title: ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER
Job Description.
The successful applicant will teach English in the Upper Primary and Junior High School portions of the school. The applicant should have already taught the topic at a similar institution.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic English skills like reading, writing, and speaking.
- Create lesson plans that will cover the entire length of each lesson.
- Execute courses efficiently, using a variety of teaching strategies based on the content.
- Engage students to create a lively classroom atmosphere.
- Teach students about the structure and content of the English language.
- Teach students how to spell words and grasp their definitions.
- Put an emphasis on writing, grammar, and sentence construction standards.
- Teach pupils how to properly pronounce words.
- Teach children to think critically while studying literature and poetry.
- Teach students how to evaluate and question media reports, advertisements, and news reports.
Required Skill or Experience
- The applicant must have a first degree or its equivalent in English language.
- The ability to communicate well in English is required.
- Excellent computer literacy, teamwork abilities, and a willingness to go above and beyond to help young children will be advantageous.
- Literacy in French will also be advantageous.
