The Director of Commercialisation and Communication is a key member of the Executive Management team of the commission and is expected to coordinate effectively with the institutes and departments/centres image of the commission
Duties/Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing and implementing guidelines and procedures governing the commercialisation and communication activities of the commission
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards with respect to ISOs for customer satisfaction
• Promoting and marketing income generating activities of the commission by responding to industrial needs through technology transfer
• Facilitating the development, protection and management of intellectual property of GAEC research output
• Determining funding needs and prioritising resource mobilisation programmes domestically and internationally
• Coordinating with the various institutes and support services for effective and efficient management of the activities of the Directorate
• Formulating appropriate strategies and action plans to build a positive image of GAEC and promote its activities through the print and electronic media on peaceful application of nuclear and related technologies for social-economic development
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Any other job assigned by the Director General
Qualification Required & Experience
The successful applicant must have:
• Must possess at least a Master in Business Administration, Marketing option or Communication. A PhD in Marketing or Communication will be an added advantage
• Must have at least 15 years relevant experience
• Must have a minimum of 10 years experience at Senior Management level
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills in marketing
• Must have good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
• Must not be more than 55 years
Tenure
The position is for a 5 year term only but may be renewed for a second term
